Palm readings, also known as Chiromancy, foretell the future by reading the lines on the hand. Each line indicates a separate area of your life.

The lines on the hand change over a person’s life to reflect their current path, personality and experiences. How often the lines change varies depending on the person. For most people, the lines change approximately every 2-3 years. The Basics of Palm Reading

At the top is your heart line – this will tell you about your emotional characteristics and your romantic experiences.

In the middle is your head line – this line expresses your intelligence and character profile. This line also offers information about the client’s mental state of mind.

At the bottom is your life line – this line shows your health issues and how you take care of your health

There are numerous other minor lines that are depicted in the hand as well. The minor lines tell how easy or difficult the path will be to achieve the outcomes that the main lines suggest.

A few examples are the fate line and the sun line. The fate line expresses your career and ambitions, while the sun line shows your happiness and wealth.

Reading the lines

If the lines are deep, smooth and obvious, that usually indicates positive experiences in that area. Vague lines, or lines with breaks, gaps, crosses and feathers indicate possible obstacles in that area.

Right hand vs. left hand

The left hand, or weak hand, indicates what traits or qualities we bring into this world at birth, and personal qualities about our private self. This hand also reveals past events, and inherited attributes. Basically it represents things out of our control.

The right hand, or dominant hand, gives information about our outward self. It shows us the path we are currently taking, and what that path will likely yield if no conscious changes take place. Mount of Jupiter – located at the base of the index finger. It reveals ambition, leadership, religion, and love of nature.

Mount of Saturn – located at the base of the second finger. It represents wisdom, independence and experience.

Mount of Apollo – located at the base of the ring finger. It indicates artistic talents and tendencies.

Mounts should be clear, well-formed, and moderately raised to indicate the positive is being expressed. Flat mounts mean those qualities are not prominent, while over over-developed mounts show almost too much expression of that attribute.
